In the passage, the author uses words like "pretty" and "warm" while describing how they felt about the weather. This character goes on to describe their liking to spending time outside because they had to mow the lawn. I say this author has an appreciative tone because typical teenagers would most likely complain about having to mow the lawn, but this one enjoyed the task along with the outdoors.
