Continental rise

Continental margin is composed by three parts, the continental shelf, continental slope and continental rise. The continental shelf is located near the continental crust just a few kilometers and the middle portion of the margin, continental slope and continental rise which is 2,000 – 3,000 deep near the ocean floor. In the lithosphere, between continental crust and oceanic crust the continental rise is the boundary between these two. The continental rise is said border to which extends to abyssal plain or the ocean floor.

muminat

In the excerpt from "Romeo and Juliet," Shakespeare presents the motif of night as a:

B. Caring, romantic figure.

What is motif?

 • Motif can be described as a symbolic idea or image that appears often throughout a literary work. In "Romeo and Juliet," the motifs of night and day, or darkness and light, are fairly common.

What is the motif in the excerpt?

 • In the excerpt we are analyzing here, Juliet describes the night as a romantic, caring figure. As a matter of fact, she associates the images of Romeo and the night when she says her beloved Romeo should become the stars when he dies.

With the information above in mind, we can choose letter B as the best option concerning the motif of night.

The excerpt this question refers to is the following:

Juliet: Come, gentle night; come, loving, black-brow'd night,

Give me my Romeo: and, when he shall die,

Take him and cut him out in little stars,

And he will make the face of heaven so fine

That all the world will be in love with night,

And pay no worship to the garish sun.
