Which statement in this excerpt from Fever Pitch by Nick Hornby shows that the author learned to have high expectations in life
Verizon [17]
<span>As for me, the third option C)I have always been accused of taking the things I love - football, of course, but also books and records - much too seriously, and I do feel a kind of anger when I hear a bad record, or when someone is lukewarm about a book that means a lot to me.) looks the most suitable and directly shows that the author learned to have high expectations in life only after he went to a

How does the ending of “Harrison Bergeron”—when Diana Moon Glampers interrupts Harrison’s dance—convey this theme?
Anarel [89]

Although the sentence is incomplete, I think that's the correct one. Both Harrison and the ballerina get killed, restoring the world to its previous situations, but their actions don't inspire rebellion and not everybody ends up happy. Harrison's parents don't, although they don't know why they are sad.

Your bags are packed for a family vacation to Jamaica, and you leave in three days. There is no way that you can get a refund si
melomori [17]

Answer:

Collaborate with your supervisor to come up with a solution

Explanation:

This is the single best solution; a compromise has to be met, and occasionally, sacrifices have to be made. In order to reach a consensus, both sides have to provide some benefaction of their own to the other. Avoiding your supervisor could result in a hazardous, ongoing conflict between you and your supervisor, but, on the other hand, it simply wouldn't be fair to waste your precious money! And as I stated earlier: this is where you come to a compromise. Maybe opt to work some extra hours rather than taking this specific shift. You could also politely ask to be excused of this shift, and ask a friend to take this time slot. (Implying you have mates at work) :)
