Ber [7]
For the answer to the question above, the quote is that we are caught in an inescapable network of mutuality, tied in a single garment of destiny." I think he means that our lives are unavoidably connected with each other -- like a network of threads that can't really be untied/unknotted, and that we share a common destiny, whatever it may be. As much as some people may want to believe and live their lives as if they are completely alone and independent of other people -- or as part of one group that can remain isolated from other groups -- he is pointing out that our fates are necessarily intertwined to some extent. He seems to be using a fabric metaphor-- a network of threads becomes a single garment which represents our collective destiny as a society.
You can kind of see an example of this in the economic situation in the world today. It is hard to find a place in the world today where individuals are not experiencing some effect of this economy, which is tied to gas prices, which is tied to food and commodity prices, which is tied to people paying their bills, which is tied to foreclosures, which is tied to big banks asset portfolio, which is tied to credit availability, which is tied to investor confidence, etc.... Each of us is affected somewhere along the line.

TiliK225 [7]
I think it would be 3-anagnorisis because he discovered that he unknowingly killed the King/his biological father (who in the myth knew he would be killed by his son while the son married his mother) and swore before that, that if he ever found the murderer of the late king, he would stab out their eyes. The queen, when she discovered it, was overwhelmed by grief and suicides in the myth

A company made $4 million in the second quarter. This is 1/3 more than it made in the first quarter and 4/5 of what it made in t
san4es73 [151]
Amount of profit made by the company in the second quarter = $4 million
Let us assume the amount of profit made in the first quarter = x
Also let us assume the amount of profit made in the third quarter = y
Amount of profit made by the company in the first quarter was 1/3 less than that made in the second quarter
Then
Amount of profit made in first quarter
3x = 4 million dollars
x = 4/3 million dollars
Amount of profit made in the third quarter
4y/5 = 4 million dollars
4y = 5 * 4 million dollars
4y = 20 million dollars
y = 5 million dollars
Then total amount of profit made in the three quarters = (4/3) + 4 + 5 million dollars
                                                                                       = (4 + 12 + 15)/3 million dollars
                                                                                       = (31/3) million dollars
                                                                                       = 10 1/3 million dollars
So the total profit made during the three quarters was 10 1/3 million dollars.
