Which type of boundary forms where two continental plates collide?

Geography

Because the rock making up continental plates is generally lighter and less dense than oceanic rock, it is too light to get pulled under the earth and turned into magma. Instead, a collision between two continental plates crunches and folds the rock at the boundary, lifting it up and leading to the formation of mountains and mountain ranges.

<span>At some convergent boundaries, an oceanic plate collides with a continental plate. Oceanic crust tends to be denser and thinner than continental crust, so the denser oceanic crust gets bent and pulled under, or subducted, beneath the lighter and thicker continental crust. This forms what is called a subduction zone.

the balance of forces between internal pressures under continents and those under ocean basins is called .
slava [35]

The balance of forces between internal pressures under continents and those under ocean basins is called the isostasy.

<h3>What is an isostasy?</h3>

It should be noted that an isostasy is the state of gravitational equilibrium that's between the Earth crust and the mantle.

According to the isostasy theory, a mass above sea level is supported by a mass below sea level, and as a result, the depth of compensation is the depth at which the Earth's total weight per unit area is equal everywhere around.

In this case, isostasy is the balance of forces between internal pressures under continents and those under ocean basins.

Therefore, based on the information, the answer is isostasy.

The sum total of the beliefs and behaviors that a group of people share can be called a(n)
grandymaker [24]

Answer:

Culture

Explanation:

"Culture" makes people living in a country unique from all the other people in the world. It is <u>a set of shared beliefs and behaviors that a community of people hold dearly. </u>

For example, a<em> "handshake</em>" is a culture in the USA when meeting people for the first time. However, this is not the case in Japan. Japanese people prefer to<em> "bow"</em> when greeting. This clearly shows the differences of countries' cultures.

The capital of a great empire that included much of Mesopotamia was: Memphis Sumer Hammurabi Babylon
den301095 [7]
Babylon.
It's asking for the capital of the Babylonian Empire, which was Babylon.

Memphis was in Egypt (and there's a newer one in Tennessee that has significantly fewer pyramids), Sumer was the name of a Mesopotamian civilization that became Babylonians, Hammurabi was a King of Babylon who wrote down his laws on a rock, which we found and were impressed with, because its the oldest such thing we've ever found.
