So for f(x) remember its essentially Y, so if that helps, remember f(x) is the same as y. Anyways, so when its x+h, the graph point with shift to the right h amount of units, and when its x-h, the point with shift to the left h amount. And then when its x(k) the graph will shift up. You can remember that h with shift left or right by thinking of h= horizontal. Does it all make sense?

List all the elements of each set. Set of the values of x that turn equation 0.7(x−7)−4.9=5.7 into a true statement
Paraphin [41]

Answer: 22.14 (22.1428571429)

Step-by-step explanation:

OK

Let's Start with the equation

0.7(x−7)−4.9=5.7

Add 4.9 to both sides

0.7(x-7)=10.6

Divide both sides by 0.7

x-7= 15. 1428571429

Add 7 to both sides

x= 22.1428571429 or 22.14

Wilma earns $9 per hour at her job. Then she spent $15 on a birthday gift for her best friend. Write an expression to represent
frozen [14]

Answer:

Wilma has $12.

Step-by-step explanation:

Since we don't know how many hours she worked, we know that Wilma earned 9x dollars at her job. Then she spends $15, so we can just subtract 15 from 9x.

9x-15

We can just replace the x with 3 to get:

27-15\\12

Hence, Wilma has $12.

Brett mows 3 lawns each week to make money. He earns $15 for each lawn that he mows.
m_a_m_a [10]

Answer:

It would be w(3 times 15)

Step-by-step explanation:

The reason is because he gets 15 dollars for every lawn he mows so that's why you would multiply 3 by 15 and the answer to that would be how much he makes in a weeks worth. That is where you would bring in (w) so, if 3 times 15 is 45 and he worked for 1 week 1 times 45 would be how much money he would have made.
