Explanation: Temperature Effects on Density. Density is a physical property of substances that compares the relationship between volume and mass. Density is affected by temperature because as temperature increases so does the kinetic energy of the particles.

The heated subatomic particles starts vibrating at their position and induces vibration in the near by atoms/molecules too. Thus all the subatomic particle on heating gain kinetic energy and starts moving away from each other and thus the interatomic and intermolecular space between them increases. Now there are less number of atom/molecule in a given interatomic/molecular space. Therefore the density decreases.
