The displacement, d, in millimeters of a tuning fork as a function of time, t, in seconds can be modeled with the equation d = 0
Lostsunrise [7]

Answer:

The frequency of the tuning fork is 1760 Hz.

Step-by-step explanation:

Suppose we have a sine function in the following format:

y = A\sin{Bx + C}

The period is:

T = \frac{2\pi}{B}{/tex]The frequency, in Hz, is:[tex]F = \frac{1}{T}

In this question:

d = 0.6\sin{3520\pi t}

So

B = 3520\pi, T = \frac{2\pi}{3520} = \frac{2}{3520}, F = \frac{1}{T} = \frac{1}{\frac{2}{3520}} = \frac{3520}{2} = 1760

The frequency of the tuning fork is 1760 Hz.

Gave needs 60 liters of 40% acid solution he currently has 20% solution and 50% solution how many liters of each does he need to
Rudiy27
\bf \begin{array}{lccclll}
&amount&concentration&
\begin{array}{llll}
concentration\\
amount
\end{array}\\
&-----&-------&-------\\
\textit{20\% sol'n}&x&0.20&0.20x\\
\textit{50\% sol'n}&y&0.50&0.50y\\
-----&-----&-------&-------\\
mixture&60&0.40&(60)(0.40)
\end{array}

notice above...  we use the decimal format for the percentage, thus 20% is really just 20/100, 40% is 40/100 and so on.

so.. whatever "x" and "y" amounts are, we know they have to add  up to 60 Liters, that is x+y = 60

and whatever the concentration amount of each is, it must add up to (60)(0.40), that is 0.20x+0.50y=(60)(0.40)

thus    \bf \begin{cases}
x+y=60\implies \boxed{y}=60-x\\\\
0.20x+0.50y=(60)(0.40)\\
----------\\
0.20x+0.50\left( \boxed{60-x} \right)=(60)(0.40)
\end{cases}

solve for "x", to see how much of the 20% solution will be needed

what about "y"?  well, y = 60 - x

The equation y = 2.50x determines the total cost, y, of buying carnival tickets
statuscvo [17]

Step-by-step explanation:

The given equation or expression is used to determine the total cost of buying carnival tickets.

the total cost is y

Also from the expression the cost of a ticket is $2.5

and x represents the number of tickets

now say x=5, that is 5 tickets, then the cost of buying the 5 tickets is given as

y=2.5(5)

y=12.5

Hence the cost of 5 tickets is $12.5
