Answer: The right answer is the C) People should always be true to themselves.

Explanation: Just to elaborate a little on the answer, it can be added that this theme is reflected in Janie's attitude towards herself and towards others. In spite of her difficult upbringing and her even more challenging affective experiences as an adult, she believes in herself, and in her innocence, and she is not embarrassed to let others know that. She has tried to be happy and to love and be loved, but she has not succeeded, yet that does not prevent her from continuining to be strong, self-confident and hopeful about the future.

Elbow uses a smile to explain that freewriting is like writing somethings and putting it in a bottle in the sea. What does this
ZanzabumX [31]

Explanation:

Remember, a simile is a literary device used to compare two things that are not exactly alike, but done to make a clear description.

By such comparison, Elbow (Peter Elbow) views freewriting as closing one's mind to spelling, grammatical errors, and the likes when they are writing thoughts on their mind; in effect, they've put their thoughts in a bottle free of examination.
