Manifest Destiny although not a US policy did allow laws like the homestead act to be passed.  The Northwest Ordinance and the act of 1802 provided the prerequisites for admission as a new state.  I believe the reason for new States and not allowing current states to expand was because the southern states wanted to expand slavery into the new territories and the northern states did not want that to happen.

Answer:  B) the Northwest Ordinance

Explanation: The Northwest Ordinance is the reason that the US has fifty states of varying size instead of 20 states with vast land. This act established the procedure by which new territories could become part of the United States.

2. Cross cultural exchange was through European dominated trade, this was by the Dutch and Portuguese. Trade was mostly sea based and central Asian nomads had no access to this. This development limited Central Asia in cross regional exchange.

In what way did the 1862 Homestead Act help pull immigrants to the United States?
AnnyKZ [126]

The way that the 1862 Homestead Act helped pull immigrants to the United States is by providing immigrants with inexpensive farmland.

Many immigrants were drawn to the fact that they could own their own farmland, and not have to pay a lot for them. This is why a lot of these immigrants moved to the US.

Why did Jefferson list specific grievances against George III
BlackZzzverrR [31]
It is a result of the forcing taxes without the assent and cutting off the exchange with parts of the world. The Declaration of Rights and Grievances was a report composed by the Stamp Act Congress and passed on October 14, 1765. It pronounced that expenses forced on British homesteaders without their formal assent were illegal. Homesteaders had every one of the privileges of Englishmen. Trial by jury is a right.
