Ok first one since they have like terms in the denominator just cancel those and you will be left with x^2=9, now subtract 9 from both side to get x^2-9=0 now find the common factors.. we need to find a number that is the same and can be multiplied to get -9 and added and subtracted to eliminate it.. 3 times -3 gives you -9 and if you add or subtract them they eliminate themselves.. so our factors will be (x-3)(x+3) now set each set equal to zero to get the final answer of x. x-3=0 add 3 to both sides to get x=3 now with x+3=0 subtract 3 from both sides and you will get x=-3 so our both sets of number for x are 3,-3 so your answer for the first one is the second option.

for the second I am stuck I don't understand sorry!!!

The universal set in this diagram is the set of integers from 1 to 15. place the integers in the correct place in the venn diagr
neonofarm [45]

Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

Given :  universal set in this diagram is the set of integers from 1 to 15.

Solution :

The intersection of odd integer, multiples of 3 and Factors of 15 are 3,15

The intersection of odd integer and Factors of 15 are 1,5

The intersection of odd integer, multiples of 3 is 9

The remaining multiples of 3 are 6,12

The remaining odd integers are 7,11,13

Now the remaining integers are 2,4,8,10,14 and these integers must be placed in the boxes outside the circles Since they does not belong any intersection or odd integer or factor of 15 .

Refer the attached figure for the answer.
