Volume of water
=6600 l=6600×0.001m³=6.6m³

▶Considering only inner volume
Let,
x↪ thickness of bottom of cuboid
Then,
↪h=3.5-x
{to get inner height of cuboid}

↪ b=1.2m-2×10cm=1.2m-0.2m=1m
{to get inner breadth of cuboid we must subtract it from 2×thickness of wall }

↪ l=2.4m-2×10cm=2.4m-0.2m=2.2m
{to get inner length of cuboid we must subtract it from 2×thickness of wall }

❇Since
↪inner volume=volume of water
↪ l×b×h=6.6
↪ 2.2×1×(3.5-x)=6.6
↪ 3.5-x=6.6/2.2
↪ x=3.5-3
↪ x=0.5m➡required thickness

Suppose that this person drives at r mph going to the mountains, and gets there in 12 hours.  Returning, this person drives at (r+20) mph and gets home in 8 hours.  We don't know the distance yet, but can solve for the initial speed, r, by setting

d = 12r = (r+20)(8).  Solving for r, r=40 mph (going) and (40+20)mph = 60 mph (returning.  Since d=12 r, d = (12 hrs)(40 mph) = 480 miles (answer).

Sindrei [870]

Given:

Area of rectangle = 6n^4+20n^3+14n^2

Width of the rectangle is equal to the greatest common monomial factor of 6n^4, 20n^3,14n^2.

To find:

Length and width of the rectangle.

Solution:

Width of the rectangle is equal to the greatest common monomial factor of 6n^4, 20n^3,14n^2 is

6n^4=2\times 3\times n\times n\times n\times n

20n^3=2\times 2\times 5\times n\times n\times n

14n^2=2\times 7\times n\times n

Now,

GCF(6n^4, 20n^3,14n^2)=2\times n\times n=2n^2

So, width of the rectangle is 2n^2.

Area of rectangle is

Area=6n^4+20n^3+14n^2

Taking out GCF, we get

Area=2n^2(3n^2+10n+7)

We know that, area of a rectangle is the product of its length and width.

Since, width of the rectangle is 2n^2, therefore length of the rectangle is (3n^2+10n+7).
