Barbara can walk 3,200 meters in 24 meters. Mavis can walk 11,808 feet in 24 minutes. Who walks faster rate of speed? Explain the steps you take to solve the problem.

I used a converter so i put 3200 meters into feet which was 10,498.69 and i rounded it to 10,498 and then i subtract 10,498 feet from 11,808 feet and got 1,310 feet as the answer

To find the rate use formula r = distance/time
Barbara walking rate is 3200/24 = 133.33.... meter per minute
Mavis walking rate is 11808/24 = 492 meter per minute

As you can see Mavis walking rate is faster than Barbara.
