Militarism is a political idea that focuses on building a military. It is built around the idea that nations need to have strong militaries if they are to protect the interests of their people. If those interests create a conflict with the interests of another nation, the military is there to solve that through things like wars. Militarism is usually about territorial expansion.

It influenced them because the nations needed colonies in order to stay relevant on the worldwide market and be powerful. Britain and France had numerous colonies while Germany wanted to get some of them and Austria-Hungary and Ottomans had problems with people wanting to become independent. This resulted in all of them heavily focusing on their militaries which eventually brought world war 1.

What is the overall trend of Mexican immigration to the US in the 20th century?
slega [8]

Answer:

Beginning around the 1890s, new industries in the U.S. Southwest—especially mining and agriculture—attracted Mexican migrant laborers. The Mexican Revolution (1910-1920) then increased the flow: war refugees and political exiles fled to the United States to escape the violence. Mexicans also left rural areas in search of stability and employment. As a result, Mexican migration to the United States rose sharply. The number of legal migrants grew from around 20,000 migrants per year during the 1910s to about 50,000–100,000 migrants per year during the 1920s.
