Stamp Act
Grenville was the British Prime Minister from 1763-1765 and was most famous for his passage of the Stamp Act.
The Stamp Act was wildly hated by the colonists. The act required a tax on government stamps or seals which were necessary to make documents official. All legal documents and contracts would need this stamp and each were tax with the passage of the Stamp Act. The act was so despised it caused rebellion and had to be repealed.
Caesar had been recently named “dictator in perpetuity” of the Roman Republic. Ongoing tensions between Caesar and the Senate, amid fears that he also planned to claim the title of king, overthrow the Senate and rule as a tyrant, were the principal motives for his assassination. Personal jealousies also came into play
They were able to have low-mortgages, financial support, and low-interest loans. However, they were not able to benefit much from the GI bill of rights. This is because the rights were created to accommodate the Jim Crowe laws which supported segregation and racial discrimination
