Answer:

China in the early 20th-century had many similarities with imperial China of 600-1200 CE.

One of the major similarities is Patriarchy.

The Song Dynasty was known for giving more importance to male figures.

Remarriage was shamed upon women, while unethical practices like foot-binding became very popular during this period.

Meanwhile, in the first half of the 20th century, China had a similar mindset of suppressing women and their rights. However, they soon realized if China was to become successful they must give women the right to educate themselves and participate in the country's progress.

Also, during the Sui dynasty, China struggled a lot to maintain peace within the country. Similarly, imperial China faced many troubles to eliminate violence. Events like the death of Mao Zedong led to the killing of demonstrating students on the famous square. Along with this, the constant struggle of power between the two main factions erupted havoc in the society.
