The poem Mirror by Sylvia Plath (beautifully) employs allegory, personification, and metaphors. But what can we infer from the title? The title mirror naturally brings to mind ideas of reflection. This is the purpose of a mirror: to reflect. The best answer regarding what we can infer from the title is that the poem may be about self-reflection.

Why is this sentence is a metaphor:She's drowing in asea of grief
AlladinOne [14]

The sentence is a metaphor because "drowning in a sea of grief" means that someone is suffering from a lot of grief, and does not mean that they are literally drowning.

What is the best definition of grotesque?
nadezda [96]

Answer:

what is the best definition of grotesque the correct answer is B. Bizarre and strange

Explanation:

grotesque means a series of things such as a very ugly or comically distorted figure, creature, or image. comically or repulsively ugly or distorted.

so the first possible answer A. dark and scary could not be it because dark could mean another word for scary. So both of the same meanings would not make sense.

the next possible answer is B. Bizarre and strange is the correct answer because it makes the most sense. By being odd or repulsive in some way so B is the answer.

Next is C. Black and deformed deformed is a possible correct answer but black is not because not in any way does the definition of grotesque could mean black.

Now finally D. Evil and demonic. I do not think It could be this because the definition of grotesque refers to anything evil or demonic. Possibly scary but not evil.

So I believe B. is the most correct answer.
