The assembly was responsible for declaring war, military strategy and electing the strategoi and other officials. It was responsible for nominating and electing magistrates, thus indirectly electing the members of the Areopagus.
Since affirmative action favors those who tend to suffer from
discrimination, especially in relation to employment or education;
positive discrimination, I agree with it to an extent. People who are
discriminated shouldn't be overly favored but not treated unfairly.
People who are suffer discrimination should have something helping them
such as affirmative action.
Life: everyone is entitled to live.
Liberty: everyone is entitled to do anything they want to so long as it doesn't conflict with the first right.
Estate: everyone is entitled to own all they create or gain through gift or trade so long as it doesn't conflict with the first two rights.
