Once an old shipping container has returned from sea, it's likely to be rusty, dented, and not very attractive. (1)If these cont

ainers could speak, they would tell stories of grand adventures on the sea. Instead of scrapping these steel boxes, however, companies have begun fixing them up and adding electricity, plumbing, and insulation. The containers can be stacked for student housing, office space, retail space, and many other purposes. (2)One London Travelodge, which is made of more than 80 shipping containers stacked eight high, looks like any other hotel both inside and out. (3)Using shipping containers as the basis of buildings requires that these boxes be available. The economic downturn experienced in many countries including the United States meant that many goods were being shipped from countries such as China. (4)Since few countries were exporting as many goods as they were importing, once the cars, toys, and clothes were emptied from the cargo containers, the steel boxes were set aside. Selling the boxes was more cost-effective than shipping them back empty, so people in need of inexpensive storage buildings bought some containers. In time, people established companies to convert these containers, which can be purchased for about $1,000 in some cases, into livable space. Which sentence in this paragraph does not belong? A) Sentence 1 B) Sentence 2 C) Sentence 3 D) Sentence 4
