Drinking and driving is one the principal causes of teenager and young adult death in America. It is an issue in which we all can do something to prevent it from happening.

The answer is true. It is a responsibility that all of us can share to avoid the devastating consequences of drinking and driving. If you see a friend who is impaired to drive you must take action to persuade that person from doing so. Even if we think it is not our responsibility, a helping hand can prevent accidents of this type to happen.

Sometimes,  the individual who has decided to drive while intoxicated is not fully aware of the horrible choice he or she is making, because alcohol can interfere with decision making in our brains.

A cool head from a friend could make you see that you are about to take a wrong action, and an accident can be diverted. Be always proactive and stop your friends from drinking and driving.

Debora [2.8K]

Answer:

D - Hiring key personnel

Explanation:

Political canvassing can be seen by many to mean the process of going out in the field to talk to voters that live in a particular area. Going to speak to potential voters at their homes has seem quite effective because it would be a good way to know where they live in the targeted area.

Canvassing can be expensive because there are costs associated with the hiring of key personnel to coordinate canvassers for you, and obtaining a registration list of voters.

madam [21]

Answer:

Hortatory.

Explanation:

When driving down the highway and one sees or reads a sign that states, "Save the planet—don’t litter." The technique of policy enactment being used is hortatory.

A hortatory technique is focused on encouraging, exhorting and urging people to do that which is right, acceptable and worthy of emulation by others.

In this scenario, commuters and road users are being urged not to litter the highway with thrash, waste, or dirt, in order to protect the planet from environmental degradation and pollution. This would help in conserving and mitigating risks posing as a threat to our dear planet and habitat.

Hence, a hortatory technique in policy implementation and enactment is primarily aimed at appealing to the sense and conscience of individuals, to engage in socially responsible acts.
