Brian has 64 flowers for a big party decoration. In addition, he is planning to buy some flower arrangements that have 18 flower

s each.
All of the arrangements cost the same. Brian is not sure yet about the number of flower arrangements, he wants to buy, but he has enough money to buy up to 5 of them. Write a function to describe how many flowers Brian can buy.

Let x represent the number of flower arrangements Brian buys.

Find a reasonable domain and range for the function.

f(x) = 18x + 64 Domain: {0, 1, 2, 3, 4}; Range: {64, 82, 100, 118, 136}

f(x) = 18x + 64 Domain: {0, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5}; Range: {64, 82, 100, 118, 136, 154}

f(x) = 64x + 18 Domain: {1, 2, 3, 4}; Range: {82, 100, 118, 136, 154}

f(x) = 64x + 18 Domain: {5}; Range: {154}

Answer:

The answer is 18x+64 ={the five terms it gives you} <(they might be different for everyone)

Step-by-step explanation:

I had the same question on my quiz and I used process of elimination to get the answer. According to my quiz, I'm assuming that you've had the same four answer choices that I had.

First off, the variable must be on 18, since it says 18 flowers each, which will eliminate two answer choices, another piece of evidence is that X is supposed to represent the numbers of flower arrangements.

Now we are left with two different answer choices, one of which is missing a term. This is a problem since it says that he has enough to have up to five of them. Since one of the answer choices has only four terms, it is safe to say it is incorrect.

Conclusion

This leads the answer to be 18x+64={five terms, not four}

I hope this helps, good luck on the rest of your assignment/quiz! :D

Which is the graph of the equation ?
MakcuM [25]

The equation of the line is y = 3/2x - 3

<h3>How to determine the line equation?</h3>

The points are given as:

(0, -3), (2, 0), and (4, 3).

Start by calculating the slope (m) using:

m = (y2-y1)/(x2 -x1)

This gives

m = (3 + 3)(4 - 0)

Evaluate

m = 3/2

The equation is the calculated as:

y = m(x - x1) + y1

This gives

y = 3/2(x - 0) - 3

y = 3/2x - 3

Hence, the equation of the line is y = 3/2x - 3

Tresset [83]

Answer:

\sf   \sqrt{3}

Step-by-step explanation:

\sf =  \frac{3}{ \sqrt{3} }

\sf =  \frac{3}{ \sqrt{3} }  \times  \frac{ \sqrt{3} }{ \sqrt{3} }

\sf =  \frac{3 \sqrt{3} }{( \sqrt{3} \times  \sqrt{3})  }

\sf =  \frac{3 \sqrt{3} }{3}

\sf =  \frac{ \cancel{3} \sqrt{3} }{ \cancel3}

\sf =  \sqrt{3}

Two ships sail between New York and London. One makes the round trip in 12 days. The other takes 16 days. They both leave London
Mariana [72]
In order to find the answer to this question, you would need to find the Greatest Common Factor of 16 and 12 which would be 4 because 4 is the greatest amount that you can divide both 12 and 16 by. So the soonest both ships will leave together again will be in 4 days.
