change both the fractions to improper fractions. the area will be 147/4 , and the width will be 9/2 . with both of these you may now divide, (147/4) / (9/2)

remember to use the KCF when dividing fractions.

147 * 2 = 294

4 * 9 = 36

your new fraction will be 294/36 .... which it is also 8 1/6

Type the correct answer in each box. Functions h and K are inverse functions, and both are defined for all real numbers Using th
kompoz [17]

Answer:

(h o k) (3) = 3

(k o h) (-4b) = -4b

Step-by-step explanation:

An inverse function is the opposite of a function. An easy way to find inverse functions is to treat the evaluator like another variable, then solve for the input variable in terms of the evaluator. One property of inverse functions is that when one finds the composition of inverse functions, the result is the input value, no matter the order in which one uses the functions in the combination. This is because all terms in a function and their inverse cancel each other and the result is the input. Thus, when one multiplies two functions that are inverse of each other, no matter the input, the output will always be the input value.

This holds true in this case, it is given that (h) and (k) are inverses. While one is not given the actual function, one knows that the composition of the functions (h) and (k) will result in the input variable. Therefore, even though different numbers are being evaluated in the composition, the output will always be the input.

What is the calculator display for 1/3 and is the exact decimal equivalent?
Dominik [7]

Calculator display = 0.33333333

Is this the exact decimal equivalent? No

==========================================================

Explanation:

1/3 = 0.33333333.... where the 3's go on forever. The calculator of course can't display infinitely many 3's. At some point, it will stop even if they theoretically go on forever.

We can prove we have this pattern by using long division.

To shorten things, we write 0.\overline{3} to tell the reader "the 3s go on forever". The horizontal bar tells us which digit(s) repeats forever. This is the exact decimal version.

The calculator can only display a finite number of digits, so it is impossible to have the approximate calculator display be the same as the exact decimal equivalent.

Some other examples:

0.\overline{12} = 0.12121212\ldots\\\\0.\overline{687} = 0.687687687\ldots\\\\0.1\overline{6} = 0.166666\ldots\\\\0.00\overline{83} = 0.0083838383\ldots

Svet_ta [14]

Bax invested a total of $2000 in two simple interest accounts. Account A earns 3% interest and Account B earns 5% interest. Bax earned a total of $75 interest after one year. How much did Bax invest in each account?

Let, The amount invested in Account A=x

Then, the amount invested in Account B=2000-x

The formula of Simple Interest =\frac{Principle*Rate*Time}{100}

Interest earned in Account A in 1 year=\frac{x*3*1}{100}

Interest earned by Account A=\frac{3x}{100}

Interest earned in Account B in 1 year=\frac{(2000-x)*5*1}{100}

Interest earned by Account B=\frac{5(2000-x)}{100}

Total Interest Earned= Interest earned by Account A+ Interest earned by Account B

Total Interest Earned=\frac{3x}{100}+\frac{5(2000-x)}{100}

75=\frac{3x}{100}+\frac{10000-5x)}{100}

75=\frac{3x+10000-5x)}{100}

Multiply by 100 on both sides

75*100=\frac{100(10000-2x))}{100}

7500=10000-2x

Let us subtract 7500 from both sides

7500-7500=10000-7500-2x

0=2500-2x

Adding 2x on both sides, we get

0+2x=2500-2x+2x

2x=2500

To solve for x, divide by 2 on both sides

2x/2=2500/2

x=1250

So, The Amount invested in Account A= $1250

The Amount invested in Account B= $2000-1250=$750
