Calvinism is originally from Switzerland. It spread through England, Scotland, France, the Netherlands, various colonies of North America, and parts of Germany and central Europe while in parts of Germany and Scandinavia Lutheranism spread.
Presbyterian originated from Scotland. There is a big influence from John Calvin and the works of John Knox (He brought back important reformed teachings to Scotland).
The southern colonies (and the colonies in the Caribbeans) required slave labor and indentured servants to maintain plantations that grew valuable crops such as sugar canes and tobacco. Harvesting these crops were often labor intensive that many free workers were unwilling to do without high wages that plantation owners did not wish to pay. These crops could only be grown in the south (or the Caribbean) due to the soil and climate.
Transcendentalists were known for using nature as a teacher. Transcendentalism<span> was a religious and philosophical movement that developed during the late 1820s and '30s. They believed in inherent goodness is both people and nature.</span>
