<span>Ans : -3. Explanation : Looking at the figure and its image, three things are immediately obvious..... The image is bigger The image is inverted. The figure and the image have a common point. The common point is the centre of dilation. (â’4, â’4) The fact that it lies BETWEEN the image and the figure means that the SF is a negative number. This accounts for the fact that the image is inverted. To find the Scale Factor divide a side in the image the same side in the figure Looking at the horizontal lines we see.. a side in the image the same side in the figure =â’6/2=â’3</span>

Let

x---------> measure of the base of the triangle of the image

y---------> measure of the base of the triangle of the pre-image

sf-------> the scale factor

we know that

the scale factor is equal to

sf=\frac{x}{y}

in this problem we have

x=6\ units\\y=3\ units

<u>Find the scale factor</u>

substitute the values of x and y in the formula above

sf=\frac{6}{3}=2

therefore

<u>the answer is</u>

the scale factor is equal to 2

krok68 [10]

Answer:

DEC+DEF=180

DEC=180-116

DEC=64°

in triangle DCE

angle D+angle C+angle E=180

7y+6+4y+64=180

11y+70=180

11y=180-70

11y=110

y=110/11

y=10°

angle C=4y

=4(10)

=40°

The width of a rectangle is 38 centimeters. the perimeter is at least 692 centimeters. write an inequality that represents all p
abruzzese [7]

Width of the reactangle = 38 cm

Minimum perimeter = 692 cm

Let the length of the rectangle be x cm

We know that,

Perimeter of rectangle = 2 * (length + width)

Since the perimeter should be atleast 692 cm. Therefore,

2 * (x + 38) > 692

2x + 76 > 692

2x > 692 - 76

2x > 616

x > \frac{616}{2}

x > 308

Hence, the length of the rectangle should be more that 308 cms.
