To solve the, we need to use simultaneous equations.
Lets that adult tickets = a
and youth tickets = y

We can use the information we know to form and solve an equation:

3a + 2y = 146
2a + 3y =134

Lets make the y's the same, by multiplying the bottom by 3 and the top by 2

9a + 6y = 438
4a + 6y = 268

Now we subtract everything, so we are left with the a's and the price

5a = 170
a = $34

Now that we know the price of a, we can substitute it into one of the equations at the very top:

2a + 3y = 134
(2 x 34) + 3y = 134     ( substitute the value of 'a' in)
68 + 3y = 134
3y = 22                (subtract both sides by 68, so we the y's are alone)
y = $22

Now we know that the price;
1 adult ticket = $34
1 youth ticket = $22

Two lines meet at a point that is also the endpoint of a ray.
Brrunno [24]
  1. We have to find the adjacent angle of 125, which is 55 degrees.
  2. Add 55 + 90 (= 145) to find the adjacent angle of angle W.
  3. Subtract 145 from 180, to get the measure of angle W, which is 35.

John has $1 in a savings account that earns 5% interest compounded annually
kiruha [24]

Answer:

16 cents

Step-by-step explanation:

A = P (1 + r)n

A = $1 (1 + 0.05)3

A = $1 x 1.16

A = $1.16

To find the compound interest only;

Compound Interest = Final Value - Initial Value

Compound Interest = $1.16 - $1

Compound Interest = $0.16

Hence the compound interest John will earn in his savings account will be 16 cents.

Need help badly<br><br> #15 Find the area of each sector.
Ber [7]

The highlighted sector is exactly 3/4 of the circle area, because \frac{3\pi}{2} is 3/4 of 2\pi which is a complete rotation.

Since you are given the radius, you can compute the area as

A = \pi r^2 = 16\pi

So, 3/4 of this area would be 12\pi squared cm.

The remaining sector, of course, is 4\pi squared cm.
