he sells. How many items does he need to sell to reach his goal of $455.50?

He'd have to sell 268 items

268x $1.50 = 402

$402 + $54 = $456

So you need to prove why -3 is not the value of √-9.


As you know (-3)^2 = (-3) * (-3) = 9, ≠ -9


Answer is A.
