If it's 25% off, then the new price is 75% of the old price
so multiply 75% or 0.75 by 24 = 18

or you could do it this way:
25% is 1/4. so to get 1/4 of 24 divide: 24/4 = 6 (the discounted amount)
then subtract: 24 - 6 = 18

so either percentages or fractions!

24 x .25 is 6, so 24 - 6 is $18.00.

I don't know another way sorry.

2x =50 since it is an isosceles triangle

x =25

the sum of all angles in a triangle is 180

5y + 10 + 50 + 2x=180

5y + 10 + 50 +50 =180  because  2x = 50

combine like terms

5y +110 = 180

subtract 110 from each side

5y = 70

y = 14

US average math SAT scores follow a normal distribution with a mean of 505 and a standard deviation of 112. A sample of 64 enter
Hitman42 [59]

Answer:

The claim that the scores of UT students are less than the US average is wrong

Step-by-step explanation:

Given : Sample size = 64

           Standard deviation = 112

           Mean = 505

           Average score = 477

To Find : Test the claim that the scores of UT students are less than the US average at the 0.05 level of significance.

Solution:

Sample size = 64

n > 30

So we will use z test

H_0:\mu \geq 477\\H_a:\mu < 477

Formula : z=\frac{x-\mu}{\frac{\sigma}{\sqrt{n}}}

z=\frac{505-477}{\frac{112}{\sqrt{64}}}

z=2

Refer the z table for p value

p value = 0.9772

α=0.05

p value > α

So, we accept the null hypothesis

Hence The claim that the scores of UT students are less than the US average is wrong

<u>Given</u><u> </u><u>:</u><u>-</u>

  • The roots of the function are 5 and -3 .

<u>To</u><u> </u><u>Find</u><u> </u><u>:</u><u>-</u>

  • The Quadratic function .

<u>Answer</u><u> </u><u>:</u><u>-</u>

The roots of the function are 5 and -3 . In general we can write the Quadratic function with roots π and ∆ as ,

\sf\longrightarrow f(x) = ( x - π )(x-∆)

So on using this we have ,

\sf\longrightarrow f(x) = ( x -5)( x -(-3))

\sf\longrightarrow f(x) = (x-5)(x+3)

\sf\longrightarrow f(x) = x(x-5)+3(x-5)

\sf\longrightarrow f(x) = x² -5x +3x -15

\sf\longrightarrow f(x) = x² -2x -15

<u>Hence </u><u>the</u><u> required</u><u> </u><u>answer</u><u> </u><u>is </u><u>x²</u><u> </u><u>-2x </u><u>-</u><u>1</u><u>5</u><u>.</u>
