It isn't like there is an actual scientific controversy about it. They clearly show organisms radiating into to new types of animals and they undeniably prove evolution beyond any rational doubt. DNA evidence is probably even better and it completely supports the basic assumptions though there have been a few surprises since the fossil record isn't entirely complete.
