Well your friend offers to pay your 4 pennies per job but since you wanted to quadruple that you are now being paid 16 pennies per job. To find out how many pennies you will have after nine job you will have to make an algebraic expression. In this case it would be 16x (x being the about of jobs you do) to solve you would replace the x with a 9 since you’re doing 9 jobs: 16(9) which would equal 144 pennies, or $1.44
