Rousseau was genevan writer, composer and philosopher. His political philosophy payed vital role during Enlightenment, French revolution and in the development of modern economic , educational and political thought. He wrote the social contract in 1762 and is famous for the quote" man is born free, but he is in chains everywhere", he challenged the traditional order of the society.
