The sitar is a musical instrument of Indian origin belonging to the lute family. It is a symbol of Indian music. Originally, three-string Persian lute. The most recent Indian instrument is fretted and has seven metallic strings, some of which are used for melody and others as catchphrases; there is also a nice string game. It stands out for its metallic timbre and glissandos.
