Lactaid is the brand form of the intestinal enzyme lactase or β-galactosidase. Lactase hydrolyses lactose into galactose and glucose in the small intestines.

Explanation:

Scientific reason:

The optimal pH of the enzyme lactase to digest lactose is around 6; however, it can function even at an acidic pH of about 2-7 which is similar to the pH of small intestines in humans. Thus lactase acts upon the undigested lactose molecules and hydrolyses it in the small intestines.

Since the pH matches with that of the small intestines, supplementing with lactase products like Lactaid will help correct lactose intolerance among children and adults.

Which earthquake wave travels the fastest and arrives first?
slavikrds [6]

Answer:

C) P-wave

Explanation:

P waves travel the fastest and are the first to arrive from the earthquake. In S or shear waves, rock oscillates perpendicular to the direction of wave propagation. In rock, S waves generally travel about 60% the speed of P waves, and the S wave always arrives after the P wave.

Deoxyribonucleic acid and ribonucleic acid (DNA and RNA, respectively) are very important
OLga [1]

Answer:

pa heart follow back follow me brainliest me please

Explanation:

Deoxyribonucleic acid (DNA) and Ribonucleic acid (RNA) are perhaps the most important molecules in cell biology, responsible for the storage and reading of genetic information that underpins all life. They are both linear polymers, consisting of sugars, phosphates and bases, but there are some key differences which separate the two1. These distinctions enable the two molecules to work together and fulfil their essential roles. Here, we look at 5 key differences between DNA and RNA. Before we delve into the differences, we take a look at these two nucleic acids side-by-side.
