50 POINTS What trait typical of the romantic era is brought out in Washington Irving's short story "The Devil and Tom Walker"?

English

I would say that the Romantic trait presented in this short story is about individual choice and how Tom Walker obviously sells his soul to the devil in order to get the buried treasure and even he and his wife treasure things from each other, things that should relate to both of them and be shared by both of them.

At the time, it was written it was a Faustian tale or tale of characters showing their greed and selfishness.

Which sentence uses a verb that agrees with its compound subject? A. Either calculators or an adding machine make an accountant'
Sladkaya [172]
I believe B would be the answer, as the subject closest to the verb (rolls) corresponds to the verb (when there is an "or" or "nor" in a sentence, the verb should correspond to the subject closest to it). For A, "adding machine" should correspond to "make," but it doesn't. For C, the subject is plural (team members and the coach), but the verb is singular; the case is the same for D.

A conclusion on how music impacts you
DerKrebs [107]

Answer:

music can give humans both impacts, either bad or good, either positives or negatives(impact people both positively and negatively), but it depends on individuals how they use it(how the individuals use it) and appreciate it as what they want because music is part of human art and a subjective thing to us.

Answer:

The selection that summarizes the speaker's theory in the poem will be D. It is important to let go of bad memories.

The poem "In theories of time and space" was written by Natasha Trethewey. The theme of the poem is acceptance. She expresses how her past will stay with her forever no matter where she goes.

In the poem, she witnessed how her stepfather murdered her mother. The tragic event followed her like a shadow and this defined her. The main message was that it's important to let go of bad memories.
