Dendrite.

A dendrite is a projection from a neuron that propagates to the cell body the electrochemical stimulation it receives from other neurons. 
Dendrites were first described by Wilhelm His, in 1889, as the "protoplasmic processes" that come from a neuron. Later, Otto Friedrich Karl Deiters distinguished the axon from the dendrites as another different structure.
