How does the senator compare the struggle for women’s suffrage to the fight for American independence
mars1129 [50]

In year 1910 Senator Robert Owen passionately fought for the right of women to vote. In his struggle, he famously compared it to the fight for American Independence.

In his opinion, women made up half of all humanity and were equally involved in the development of a modern society, either by being a home marker or even working on the fields.

However, she received little recognition and did not fare well financially. According to him, the American Independence doctrine was ''all governments derive their just powers from the consent of  the governed'' but how can the United States be just, when it denies powers to half of all people living in the country.

According to him, for America to be just and a true democracy, it was evident that women should have an equal vote.

garik1379 [7]

Answer:

Davy Crockett was a backwoodsman from Tennessee. His skill as a hunter and storyteller helped get him elected to three terms in Congress. But when he started his first

political campaign, Crockett was doubtful about his chances of winning. “The thought

of having to make a speech made my knees feel mighty weak and set my heart to fluttering.” Fortunately for Crockett, the other candidates spoke all day and tired out the

audience. “When they were all done,” Crockett boasted, “I got up and told some laughable story, and quit. . . . I went home, and didn’t go back again till after the election was

over.” In the end, Crockett won the election by a wide margin.
