To find the missing value, tan (x) = 7 use the arctan (tan^-1) of 7

arctan(7) = 81.87 degrees

The answer is C.

Luda [366]
To solve this problem you must follow the proccedure below:

 a<span>. Find the perimeter and area of the cracker remaining:

 The perimeter of  a quarter circle is:

 P=(</span>πr/2)+2r
 P=(πx3 cm/2)+2(3 cm)
 P=10.71 cm

 The perimeter of <span>the cracker remaining is:
</span><span>
 Pt=3 cm+6 cm+3 cm+10.71 cm
 Pt=22.71 cm

 The area of a quarter circle is:

 A=</span>πr²/4
 A=π(3 cm)²/4
 A=7.06 cm²
<span>
 The area of</span><span>of the cracker remaining is:
</span><span>
 At=Area of a square-Area of quarter circle
 At=L</span>²-(πr²/4)
 At=(6 cm)²-(π(3 cm)²/4)
 At=28.93 cm²
<span>
 b. About how many bites can you get from the entire cracker?</span>

 Number of bites=L²/(π(3 cm)²/4)
 Number of bites=5

Find an equation for the line passing through the points (-3,1) and (9,7)
WINSTONCH [101]
The you find this is by first finding the slope. You do this by finding the difference between both x values and then both y values. You get 12(x), 6(y) then write it as a fraction. it is 12/6 which simplifies to 2. 2 is our slope. then you write it out in slope intercept form (y=mx+b) and plug in your numbers. pick one set of original points an put them in to x and y. now you just solve for b. this gives you -9 as b. you put it together to get
y=2x-9
hope this helps!!!! :)

!!20 POINTS!! Claire filled up her car with gas before embarking on a road trip across the country. Let G represent the number o
pentagon [3]

Answer:

G=-\frac{5}{4}t+15

Slope = -\frac{5}{4}

Step-by-step explanation:

Let the equation representing the number of gallons left in the gas tank is,

G = mt + b

Where m = slope of the line

b = y-intercept of the line

Slope of the line passing through two points (x_1,y_1) and (x_2,y_2) is,

'm' = \frac{y_2-y_1}{x_2-x_1}

Slope of the line passing through (8, 5) and (4, 10),

m = \frac{10-5}{4-8}

m = -\frac{5}{4}

Equation of line will be,

G = -\frac{5}{4}t+b

Since, point (8, 5) lies on this line,

5 = -\frac{5}{4}(8)+b

5 = -10 + b

b = 15

Therefore equation of the function will be,

G = -\frac{5}{4}t+15

Here slope of the function represents the \frac{5}{4} gallons of gas is consumed to drive the car for one hour.
