Not to be mistaken with Narcotics, the Drugs are chemical substances which are regulated in U.S by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA), and they have the purpose of treating, preventing, diagnosing, mitigating or curing the diseases of the body. Thus, through medical advising and care using Drugs is a legal action.
As for the Narcotics, they too are chemical substances, usually used to inebriate or enhance sensations on its users, often causing other sudden feelings as extreme excitement or sadness, and most of them may be considered addictive. The Narcotics regulations works differently, as they have two categories: Illegal Narcotics, which consumption, production and commercialization are considered violations of the law; Legal Narcotics: Used under a medical prescription, the legal narcotics' production, commercialization and consumption are tightly controlled by FDA as well.
