Is it possible for a new, third political party to succeed in the American political system? What can third parties hope to attain?

It is possible, however, very unlikely that a new third political party would succeed in the American political system. To win, they would have to give everybody what they want that the two giants ( Democrats and Republicans) cannot give. So far, not a lot of 3rd party candidates have been winning.
