The bible answers that question

god made us with a purpose and part of that purpose is to enjoy life god also wants us to love and care for our family as it say in( ephesians 5:28,33) and in (ephesians 6:1 )and if we do that we will be happy and contempt but there is another purpose to life and that is to draw close to god ( james 4:8) jesus christ knew what his purpose in life was to do and that was to teach peaple about the one and true god so that they could learn to draw close to him jesus taught in (matthew 5:3) that we will and can be happy if we are conscience of our spiritual needs but how can you get close to god ?we must follow his commandment which are to love god with your whole heart mind and soul (dueteronomy 6:5) and if we obey god  our love for him grows (1 john 5:3) talk about how gods commandments are not burdensome but not only that we must hate what god hates Murder
