Answer:

Lincoln continually calls the South as “rebellion” because of his perception of the North. The rebellion happened because of Lincoln’s electoral camping, causing more economic tension between the North and South. Because of this, Lincoln and the Southerners had established the Abolition Movement, thus referred to the Southerners and their fight against the Northerners

Read the following passage and answer the question.
il63 [147K]

Answer:

Antinous

Explanation:

The given passage is from Homer's <em>Odyssey</em><em>. </em>The options you were given are the following:

  • Telemachus
  • Halitherses
  • Antinous
  • Eurymachus

The quoted words are spoken by Antinous, one of two prominent Penelope's suitors. He is shown as a violent, mean-spirited, and over-confident character who defiles Odysseus' home while he is lost at sea. Here, he is speaking about how Penelope tricked her suitors. She pretended to be weaving a burial shroud for Odysseus's father Laertes, claiming that she will choose a suitor once she is finished. She wove it by day and secretly unraveled it by night, managing to deceive them for three years.

A Pup Unleashed
KiRa [710]

Answer:

So, I got him home, and I promise I'll get him adopted .

you rescued a cat and kept it for a week.

Explanation:

In the given passage from "A Pup Unleashed", Evan's character is someone who loves animals and helps them get their forever homes. He would take in strays and help them get a safe house, most of the time, having to argue with his family against taking in strays.

But at the same time, he seems to have a heart of gold for he couldn't ignore the suffering of the animals. After keeping a cat for a week with him and then eventually getting him adopted, he has now taken in another stray, this time, a dog, much against his parents' liking. But despite their original demeanor, they allowed their son to keep the dog for a week. They know he has good intentions and just wanted to get someone to take him home, <em>"get him adopted"</em>.

The<u> two pieces of evidence that best support the idea that Evan likes helping animals in need is when he took in a stray cat and kept him for a week and his decision to take in the dog and get him adopted.</u>
