What is the setting in this passage? The schoolchildren could not wait to visit Queen’s Island Amusement Park. They heard that t

he park had not just one, or two, but six world-class roller coasters! They planned to take a bus to the park, which was located only seven miles from town. They even got to stay in a new hotel near the park that was surrounded by trees and a beautiful lake.

Explanation: The setting of a story or a text is the place and time where the story takes place, it can also be the context of the story (political, historical, cultural, etc). In the given passage, we can see that the children were going to visit the park, the were going to take a bus (because the park was seven miles from town) and to stay in a hotel nearby. The passage also gives information about the park, by saying that it has six world-class roller coasters. As we can see the main place of the story (the setting) is the Amusement Park.
