Psychologists today agree the 5 stages to a growing and healthy relationship are:
1) Initiating
The first stage, or first impression, judging by first looks, often inacurate. 
2) Experimenting
Testing, exploring and getting to know each other.
3) Intensifying
After spending more time around each other, bonds intensify and you may be less formal around each other.
4) Integration
Coming closer together, integrating each other into both of your lives.
5) Bonding
Last stage of coming together, may lead to a proposal, eventual marriage or a coming apart.
