An octagon has 8 sides. Each side is given as 2a + 1

Perimeter = 8(2a + 1)

= 16a + 8

Answer: 16a + 8

as we all know ... an octagon has 8 corners / sides

and they told that each side is equal to 2a + 1

so we need to make an equation which will be <u>8 (2a+1) </u>

ans now we need to<em> multiply 8 with both 2a and 1 </em>

so, 8 ( 2a + 1 )

16a + 8

we cant do this further as its not "like"

so the answer is<em><u> 16a + 8 </u></em>

Simplify this equation <br> Thanks a lot!!!
den301095 [7]

Answer:

-1

Step-by-step explanation:

We need to simplify the given expression . The given expression is ,

\rm\implies ( 2 \sqrt6 +5)^{2n-1} ( 2\sqrt6 - 5)^{2n-1}

Here we can see that the power of the both exponent is same that is (2n+1) . Recall the property of exponents ,

\bf\implies a^m \times b^m = (ab)^m

Using this property , we have ,

\rm\implies ( 2 \sqrt6 +5)^{2n-1} ( 2\sqrt6 - 5)^{2n-1}

This can be written as ,

\rm\implies\{( 2 \sqrt6 +5) ( 2\sqrt6 - 5)\}^{2n-1}

Simplifying using ( a+b)(a-b) = a² - b² ,

\rm\implies\{( 2 \sqrt6)^2 -5^2 \}^{2n-1}\\\\\rm\implies ( 24 - 25)^{2n-1}

Subtracting the numbers inside the brackets ,

\rm\implies (-1)^{2n - 1 }

Now we know that every odd number is in the form of 2n -1 , where n is any integer. Therefore , the <u>power is odd</u> .

Since the base is (-1) , for even power it is 1 and for odd power it is -1 . Therefore the final answer is ,

\rm\implies\boxed{\quad \red{ -1 }\quad }

<u>Hence </u><u>the</u><u> </u><u>required</u><u> answer</u><u> is</u><u> </u><u>(</u><u>-</u><u>1</u><u>)</u><u> </u><u>.</u>

Verify this identity: secx-cosx = 1-cos^2x/cosx
Sauron [17]

Step-by-step explanation:

sec x − cos x

Secant is the inverse of cosine:

(1 / cos x) − cos x

Find the common denominator:

(1 / cos x) − (cos² x / cos x)

Subtract:

(1 − cos² x) / cos x

6 inches

Step-by-step explanation:

So first you would make 2 3/7 a dismal. So that is 2.43. Then you add 2.43 and 3.56 to get 5.99 inches tall. The you round to the nearest whole number to get 6 inches.
