<em>The National Science & Mathematics Access to Retain Talent Grant (the SMART grant) </em>is available to rising <em>college juniors and seniors </em>with demonstrated financial needs.

To become eligible for the grant you must be majoring in physical, life or computer science, mathematics, technology, engineering or a foreign language. You must also be enrolled in school full time and take at least one course required for your major during the semester in which the grant is awarded.

You also need to maintain a minimum GPA of 3,0 during the period in which the grant is awarded.

The SMART grant is worth up to 4,000 for each of the two years of undergraduate study
