Hello!

Racism began a long time ago, when the blacks were picking cotton. Blacks were not allowed to go to school and instead, were slaves. Racism has lowered since those times though, and even though people want to say its still there, they're getting equal pay and equal opportunities.

Enjoy.

What Was The Role Of The Roman Catholic Church During The Middle Ages?
4vir4ik [10]
First, the Roman Catholic Church was the only church at this time. As such, it was felt to have a monopoly on religious knowledge and on the relationship between Europeans and God. In other words, the Church could control who went to Heaven and who went to Hell. This gave it tremendous power over people’s lives. The Church did much to determine how people would live since it said what was permissible and what was not.Second, the Church was a major political force during this time. Kings and queens wanted and needed papal approval, particularly when they were somewhat weak (as in times of conflict over succession). This, among other things, allowed the Church to exercise political power as it could help to determine which claimants to a throne would be deemed acceptable. There was a long history of tension between the church and secular authority over this and other political issues. Finally, the Church was deeply involved in economic life. The Church controlled a great deal of land (the main source of wealth at this time), largely because it owned monasteries. By owning all the land connected to the monasteries (often willed to it by people wanting to ensure their own salvation), the Church was a major economic power.

Refer to the passage.
Lynna [10]

Answer:

California’s Central Valley

Explanation:

The Excerpt explained the disaster caused by the Dust Bowl, in which many people migrated from their homes and farms in and around places like Oklahoma, Arkansas, Missouri, Iowa, Nebraska, Kansas, Texas, Colorado, and New Mexico.

It was recorded that about 3.5million people migrated from the aforementioned areas, and majority of them, moved to the California Central Valley, with about 86,000 people reported to have relocated to California in the first year after the Dust bowl.

And based on statistics of the Bureau of Agricultural Economics, it was recorded that about 116,000 families eventually arrived in California in the 1930s.

Hence, the most affected by the migration spawned by the environmental disaster highlighted in the passage is California’s Central Valley.

To combat Reconstruction reforms, some Southerners organized
Alexandra [31]

They organized secret societies and raiding parties. The most notorious was the Ku Klux Klan. These societies often rode in groups and raid settlements where former slaves lived. Many were hurt and killed by these mobs. Apart from former slaves and Blacks, they also assaulted Whites who support the Republican programs.
