So for your singular subject, you could write "Bob reads right now." Using the words "right now" helps you determine that the verb needs to be "reads" for the present tense and singular subject. But, when you change to a plural subject, such as Bob and Sue, the present tense verb becomes "read," as in, "Bob and Sue read right now." Now that you have the basic sentence, you can remove the phrase "right now" and make your sentence a bit more creative than that with some additional descriptive phrases.
