Unification was the most significant in helping Germany become rapidly industrialized. Option D is correct.

In 1871, Prussia finally united Germany. It then marked the new phase of Germany's industrial revolution.

Furthermore, the provinces of Alsace and Lorraine that Germany took from France provided Germany even further natural resources which were vital for industrialization. Heavy industry increased and developed after the German Unification.

To what does gary nash ascribe the growth of individualism in eighteenth-century america?
LuckyWell [14K]
To Gary Nash, individualism, became a great help to the slavery of African Americans, since as a historian, this was his focus. While it has always been America's stance that God created all men equal, this did not directly apply to the slaves as an argument by Nash.

Why did some fugitives go to Canada instead of staying in northern states?
xz_007 [3.2K]

Answer:

Some fugitives went to Canada instead of staying in northern states because they risked being captured in northern states.

Explanation:

During the time of slavery in the southern United States, escaping slaves had to leave the southern states in order to guarantee (to some extent) their freedom. Even so, many times the owners crossed the Mason-Dixon Line and captured the fugitives, either in open places in front of anyone, or with the collusion of the authorities. Therefore, once the Underground Railroad (the organization that was in charge of helping the slaves to escape) was formed, many routes were directed directly to Canada, so as not to saturate the routes to the great northern cities such as New York, as to guarantee the safety of slaves in a country that had abolished slavery in 1807.
