Rivers are lifelines in many dry regions of Africa. They provide the necessary water for agriculture, household uses, transport, and biodiversity. They fill the wetlands of inland and coastal deltas with fresh water, thereby maintaining the inhabitant’s livelihoods and biodiversity of these dynamic areas

River deltas are found on the lower reaches of rivers, where the flow of water spreads out and slows down, depositing sediments into expanses of wetlands and shallow water. There are tow types of deltas: coastal deltas where the river meets the sea and inland deltas where the river fills extensive floodplains and marshes. One of the most famous African examples of an inland delta is the Inner Niger Delta in Mali.

In what way are cities microclimates?
Margarita [4]

The answer is A.

This is because cities contain more people in one area, thus they contain more businesses like restaurants, cafes, etc. that produce more overall exhaust than say a more rural town with fewer people. Light pollution will also be largely greater over a city as opposed to a rural town.

What is a glacier? How could a massive chunk of ice carve out valleys and create lakes? Explain what glaciation means and identi
svlad2 [7]

Answer:

Glaciers not only transport material as they move, but they also sculpt and carve away the land beneath them. A glacier's weight, combined with its gradual movement, can drastically reshape the landscape over hundreds or even thousands of years. The ice erodes the land surface and carries the broken rocks and soil debris far from their original places, resulting in some interesting glacial landforms.
