Given the graph of the function f(x) below what happens to f(x) when x is a very small positive number?
vladimir2022 [97]

Answer:  The correct option is

(B) f(x) is a very large positive number.

Step-by-step explanation:  We are given the graph of a function f(x) as shown in the figure.

We are to check what happens to the f(x) when x is a small positive integer.

From the graph, we see that

when x is approaching to 0 from left hand side, then the value of f(x) is approaching to negative infinity.

And,

when x is approaching to 0 from right hand side, then the value of f(x) is approaching to positive infinity.

So, when x is a very smell positive integer, then y is approaching to positive infinity.

That is, the value of f(x) is a very large positive number.

Option (B) is CORRECT.

2x(8+7)-6/2x(9-3) evaluate
Katarina [22]
Ok so assuming that the 'x' means multiply and not 'x' as in placeolder we do

PEMDAS
parenthaseees
exponents
multipilcation or division
additon or subtraction

parethasees simplify first
(8+7)=15

(9-3)=6

now we have
2x(15)-6/2x(6)
multiply
2x15=30

6/2x6=36/2=18

now we have
30-18
12

answer is 12

Help Please!!!! I'm Going To Get A Test Tomorrow On This And Ion Know How To Do These
Dmitriy789 [7]

y=3x-2  y=-2x+8

3x-2=-2x+8  (plus 2 each side)

3x=-2x+6     (plus 2x each side)

5x=6   (divide by 5 each side)

x=1.2

Plug x back into an equation

y=3(1.2)-2

y=3.6-2

y=1.6

Answer: (1.2, 1.6)

(3.6x10^-5)÷(1.8x10^2) in standard form
Lerok [7]

<u>Answer: </u>

The standard form of \left(3.6 \times 10^{-5}\right) \div\left(1.8 \times 10^{2}\right) is 0.0000002

<u>Solution: </u>

We have to write \left(3.6 \times 10^{-5}\right) \div\left(1.8 \times 10^{2}\right) in standard form.

=\frac{3.6 \times 10^{-5}}{1.8 \times 10^{2}}

By dividing 3.6 by 1.8 we get “2”, hence the above equation becomes,

=\frac{2 \times 10^{-5}}{10^{2}}

We know that \frac{x^{a}}{x^{b}}=x^{a-b}

Therefore the above equation becomes,

=2 \times 10^{-5-2}

=2 \times 10^{-7}

since the exponent of 10 is negative , therefore 7 zeros are written on the left hand side of the number.

= 0.0000002

Hence the standard form of \left(3.6 \times 10^{-5}\right) \div\left(1.8 \times 10^{2}\right) is 0.0000002
