The correct answer is C, hypocrisy. This work of Mark Twain's is actually a fictionalized version of his own wartime experiences. He is trying to tell us that there is nothing glorious about war, that there is only death and suffering. It cannot be glorious when you have to kill somebody, or somebody will kill you. That's the irony and hypocrisy that Twain was trying to convey in this work.

Finger [1]

Answer:

D). Once the UDHR is approved, countries will have common ideals to work toward and will be able to set rules on human rights issues.

Explanation:

The last statement i.e. 'once...issues' most aptly encapsulates Roosevelt's reasons for backing the prompt approval of UDHR(Universal Declaration Of Human Rights.' The signing of UDHR will not only offer credibility to the declaration but he believed that the approval of UDHR will allow the countries to work on the common goals of upliftment of human dignity and 'completion of an international covenant for human rights and its implementation' with full fortitude and inspiration.
